Hong Kong – Sep.20 – There are always people who keep busy during weekends, including Mr. Choi and his brother, who run Sam’s Home of Dessert on Des Voeux Road West together.

Sam’s Home of Dessert has a good reputation, which attracts regular customers.

It serves various kinds of desserts.

Servants would cook the fried radish cake on the spot.

The kitchen is transparent and open to the public, and it is the working environment for the staffs here.

When there are not too many customers, Mr.Choi and Mr.Choi Jr. would keep an eye on horse racing.

Mr. Choi, on the right, is the owner of the shop. He works 13 to 14 hours a day, and takes only half day off every week. He admits that he does not have enough time to be with the family, though he has two sons.

Mr. Choi Jr., the brother of the boss, has only two days off every month. He has been working in the shop for over ten years, and keeps working 10 hours everyday.  He bets on horse race twice a week and enjoys it very much.

Mr. Choi lost his bet today. However, this game adds fun into his busy daily life, and prepares him to be more delightful to serve the next customer.
